About

Nektar De Stagni

From a humble startup to software used by millions, I've thrived in roles as Founder, Creative Director, Product Designer, and Consultant for renowned brands like Thermo Fisher, Four Seasons, Virgin Group, Design Miami/Basel, and my own Fine Jewelry brand. With over 15 years of experience, I've mastered various facets of design, product development, brand building, growth marketing, sales, and distribution.

Positioned at the intersection of Design and Business, I am a firm believer in the power of exceptional UX, focusing on Desirability as the ultimate competitive advantage.

Frequently asked questions

Tell me about yourself
Chevron icon pointing down.

I am a systems thinker, foodie, and all around weirdo. I have an insatiable thirst for studying history and am an avid collector of rare music. I enjoy long walks along the beach, fermenting my own yogurt, and lifting heavy things called dumbbells.

What is your process?

I begin with understanding the business and problem space by auditing the market (for competitive advantage/opportunities). I then conduct user interviews, social listening, and other user centered activities to develop a hypothesis based on evidence (data). I then create a prototype that I can test with actual users before implementing a final design.

What is the difference between Usability and Desirability?
Chevron icon pointing down.

Well, let's first define what each is... usability is more concerned with the basic functionality of a product, be it an app, website or anything else, whereas desirability refers to what compels Users to actually want to use a product... it really digs deep into the crux of "jobs to be done" a deep understanding for what outcome Users are really after.

Basically you can build the most usable product in the world but that doesn't mean anyone will want to use it unless it is DESIRABLE!... ..Users today have the luxury of choice so at the end of the day it's desirably that makes products "lovable", "sticky", "addictive".
